|Join a dynamic team during the summer of 2018 at MITRE’s Hampton Roads site involved in delivering innovative solutions for some of the government’s most challenging and immediate problems. Gain valuable technology experience assisting in prototyping and research projects for MITRE.|
|Working at MITRE|
|Student will gain hands-on experience in developing solutions to critical sponsor missions. The student will have responsibility in the design, testing, integration and development of computer software.
Student will assist in engineering tasks and participate in experimentation events with the sponsor. The student may be asked to assist in lab and computer network, hardware and software configuration.

|Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment, ability to solve problems and possess a strong work ethic. Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and take on new technologies.
Students should have a 3.0 or better grade point average in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
|Experience and/or class work in any of the following areas is especially desirable: software engineering, mobile operating systems, web development, and mobile software development.
Prefer a student who is excited about mobile computing and software development.
|Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree|
|No travel required.|
|Security Clearance is not required for this initial assignment. However for future opportunities a government security investigation may be required.|
